Ingredients:
8 oz linguine or tagliatelle pasta
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 extra hot red chillies, thinly sliced
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1/4 cup white wine (optional)
Juice of 1 lemon
1/2 ts garlic powder
1/2 ts onion powder
15g butter
30ml white wine
50ml cream
20g parmesan Cheese
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions:
Cook linguine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic, onion, and sliced chillies, sauté for about 1 minute.
Add shrimp and butter to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Stir in cherry tomatoes and white wine, cook for another 2 minutes before adding the cream.
Add cooked pasta to the skillet, toss to combine with the shrimp and tomato mixture.
Squeeze lemon juice over the pasta and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Garnish with parmesan cheese and chopped parsley before serving. Enjoy hot!
How to make a deliciously spicy Indian style curry
If you're on this site, I am guessing that you're as much of a fan of spicy food as we are. We love to splash hot sauce on everything from sandwiches, to seafood, to burgers, and to noodles, but ther's one spicy meal that is king among kings, and that is the extra spicy Indian curry.
I have been eating curries for as long as I can remember, and without a doubt, curries from around th world are may favourite, and go to dish in any restaurant that offeres them.
Here's my own twist on the Indian curry, It's an extra spicy curry recipe and it includes a lot of the ingredients we use in our Tandoori, and Phaal edition hot sauces. Enjoy!
Extra Spicy Chicken Curry:
Ingredients:
500g chicken pieces
2 tablespoons oil
1 onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1-inch piece ginger, minced
6 large tomatoes, chopped
2 green chilies, slit
1/2 teaspoon Bhut Jolokia Powder (Ghost Chilli) or more if you want!
1 teaspoon madras powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1/4 teaspoon star anise
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1Tablespoon tomato puree
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
Heat oil in a pan, add onions, garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Sauté until onions turn golden brown.
Add tomatoes, chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, ginger, tondoori powder, and salt. Cook until tomatoes are mushy.
Add chicken pieces and cook until they are browned.
Add water as needed and simmer until chicken is cooked through.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or bread.
A Spicy & Delicious Side dish, or One Pot Meal!
Mexican rice, or "arroz rojo," is a staple in Mexican cuisine, renowned for its vibrant flavors and simplicity. Typically made from long-grain white rice, it's sautéed with onions, garlic, and sometimes tomatoes until golden brown. Broth or water, along with spices like cumin and chili powder, infuse the rice with rich flavor. Often garnished with fresh cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice, it's a versatile side dish that complements many Mexican meals, from tacos to enchiladas. The rice grains are distinct, not sticky, with a slightly nutty taste, making it a delicious and essential component of any Mexican feast.
Here is our recipe for a deliciously spicy Mexican Ric meal that has been perfected over a number of years, and many, many trials and error:
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add rice and cook until golden brown, stirring frequently.
Add onion and garlic, cook until softened.
Stir in diced tomatoes, chicken broth, cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, ginger, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes until rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed.
Fluff with a fork before serving.
Make it Something Special
Turn your Mexican rice into a on pot meal by adding corn, beans, red peppers, jalepeno peppers, and shredded chicken into the pot. We also recommend adding some additional flavour and heat in the form of Snow Patrol's 'Just Say Yes' Chipotle Hot Sauce, squeeza a little lime over the tom, and garnish with cilantro/corriander!
Spicy Guac with a bite!
You can use any hot sauce to add a bit of spice to your guacamole, but our favourite is Snow Patrol's 'Signal Fire' Hot Sauce, as it blends the hot and fruity Dorset Naga chilli, with mango, and adds a delicate sweetness to the dish, that just works!
In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown ground beef over medium heat, breaking it up with a spoon.
Add chopped onion, minced garlic, and chopped Scotch bonnet chillies. Cook until onion is softened.
Stir in drained kidney beans, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, ground cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Bring to a simmer and let cook for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until flavors are well combined and chili has thickened.
Serve hot over cooked rice or with tortilla chips.
Optional: Top with shredded cheese, sour cream, and chopped cilantro before serving.
