At Rock A Doodle Do Belfast Hot Sauce, we’ve always pushed boundaries with flavour, heat, and creativity, but with Violent Intentions, I wanted to make something completely unapologetic. I wanted to create the hottest hot sauce in Ireland and one of the hottest hot sauces available anywhere in the UK.
And honestly, I think we achieved it.
Over the years, I noticed something happening in the hot sauce world.
Lots of brands claimed to make “extreme” sauces, but when you actually tasted them, they either relied on artificial extracts or they simply weren’t that hot. Many had no flavour balance whatsoever. They existed purely for gimmicks and internet reaction videos.
That frustrated me.
I wanted to create something authentic. Something brutally hot, but still packed with flavour. A sauce that serious chilli fans would respect.
So I started experimenting with Carolina Reapers.
Not just small amounts either. I pushed the limits as far as I possibly could while still keeping the sauce usable and flavourful. Eventually, I landed on a formula containing 75% Carolina Reaper chilli.

Ireland’s hot sauce scene has grown massively over the past decade, which is brilliant to see. There are fantastic artisan producers across Belfast, Dublin, Cork, and Galway creating incredible products.
But I felt there was still room for something truly extreme.
Most sauces on the market focus on flavour-first mild and medium heat profiles. I wanted Violent Intentions to stand apart completely. I wanted a sauce aimed directly at hardcore chilli fans and people who actively seek out extreme heat.
The response has honestly been incredible.
People regularly message us saying it’s the hottest sauce they’ve ever tried. Some customers love it so much they use it daily. Others only dare use a few drops at a time.

A lot of ultra-hot sauces rely heavily on artificial extracts to create burn. I deliberately avoided that approach. I wanted real Carolina Reaper flavour and natural heat rather than chemical bitterness.
That’s why Violent Intentions hits differently.
